In the desktop PC space, rocking an ultrawide display or two displays side-by-side is a surefire speed boost for productivity. More screen real estate equals free real estate. When it comes to laptops though, being on the go means you can pick up and work or create no matter where you are. And for many, the idea of a portable dual-screen setup doesn't get a tiny blip on their radar.

This is where Mobile Pixels comes in, and its range of DUEX portable laptop monitors is designed to add a second screen to help bridge the gap between the desktop and portable space. And with the shift to working from home and a hybrid setup that means many aren't simply working out of a single office, this solution is worth celebrating.

These lightweight DUEX screens, attached to an existing laptop via magnets, feature their own support and stand for durability. They can also be oriented on the left or right side of a laptop too, and best of all, Mobile Pixels notes that they are compatible with any laptop (via USB-C or USB-A), so you can get that dual-screen experience anywhere.

ViewSonic is launching a new home theatre projector with the X2-4K, though what makes this different from other similar products is that it has been designed for the Xbox Series X|S consoles and even carries a "Certified for Xbox" tag.

Visually, the black look features a couple of green flourishes to add Xbox flavor to the design, but the underlying specs make it sound great for big-screen console gaming. The X2-4K LED Projector for Xbox supports native 1440p at 120 Hz or a 4K 60 Hz using DMD and TI XPR technology.

The X2-4K is a short-throw LED projector, meaning it can be placed fairly close to where the image will be projected, but perhaps the most exciting aspect is that in addition to the bright 2,900 LED lumens for the lamp, you're also getting a 4.2ms ultra-fast response time. With response times in most 4K projectors being okay or passable for most console gaming, this puts the X2-4K in the same category as LED monitors designed for high refresh-rate gaming.

Dell and Alienware have launched four new gaming monitors. Two new Alienware 27-inch displays called AW2724HF and AW2724DM.

Dell is aiming its new Alienware gaming monitors at gamers that looking to gain the competitive edge in first-person shooter titles as the AW2724HF is capable of a ridiculously fast 360Hz refresh rate, with a 0.5 ms GTG response time.

According to Dell the AW2724HF will also come with a Fast IPS display, FHD resolution (1920x1080), 400 nits of brightness, 1000:1 static contrast ratio, VESA AdaptiveSync Display Certification, and AMD FreeSync Premium. Notably, the 0.5 ms response time is only possible when running the monitor in Extreme Mode. The AW2724HF is selling for $459.99.

Phillips is preparing to launch a new 40-inch ultrawide monitor that comes with a staggering 5120 x 2160 resolution at a refresh rate between 45Hz and 75hz.

The 40B1U6903CH is the smaller version of the 45-inch model (45B1U6900CH) that Phillips recently confirmed, but unlike the 45B1U6900CH which has a resolution of 5120 × 1440, the 40-inch model comes with a much higher resolution of 5120 x 2160 pixels. According to the confirmation, the new 40B1U6903CH is expected to deliver an immersive viewing experience with viewing angles of 178°/178°, a 1000:1 contrast ratio, 350 cd/m² brightness, a 1 ms (GTG) response time, and VESA DisplayHDR 400.

As for color space coverage, the 40B1U6903CH comes with 134% sRGB, 103% NTSC, and 98% DCI-P3. On the connectivity side of things, Phillips has slapped a Thunderbolt 4 port that gives 100W of power delivery, enabling users to charge devices such as their laptops or phone without a problem. As for other connectivity, the 40B1U6903CH comes with a DisplayPort 1.4, HDMI 2.0, USB-C, an audio output, and built-in speakers.

Samsung has launched a brand new juicy ultrawide monitor that is going to require a beefy PC to fully utilize its specifications.

Samsung has taken to its website to open up pre-orders for the world's first 49-inch OLED gaming monitor, officially called the Odyssey OLED G9, or G95SC. What's so special about this monitor? Samsung has jam-packed this super-ultrawide with a plethora of specs. The OLED G9 comes with a Dual Quad High Definition resolution of 5,120 x 1,440 at a 32:9 aspect ratio. Samsung states on its website that the OLED G9 is the "first OLED monitor to offer Dual Quad High Definition (5,120 x 1,440) resolution at a 32:9 aspect ratio".

Samsung has upgraded the OLED G9's panel with the company's Neo Quantum Processor Pro, which uses a deep learning algorithm to automatically adjust the brightness and contrast levels of images, according to Samsung's press release. The company states that this deep learning algorithm operates "pixel by pixel", and is what "sets the Odyssey OLED G9 apart from other OLED gaming monitors". Additionally, the OLED G9 has a 0.03ms GTG response time at a stunning refresh rate of 240Hz.

New listings from Display Specifications detail two new displays from ASUS under the company's TUF Gaming brand.

TUF Gaming VG249Q3A Gaming Monitor - 24-inch

Display Specifications writes that ASUS has launched launched the TUF Gaming VG279Q3A and the TUF Gaming VG249Q3A, which feature identical specifications besides the difference in size. The VG279Q3A is a 27-inch model, as referenced in the model name by the number 27, and as its smaller counterpart, both displays feature Fast IPS at a resolution of 1920 x 1080, or Full HD. Both panels feature 99% sRGB coverage, 250 nits of typical brightness, 1 ms GTG response time and a 180 Hz refresh rate.

Additionally, both displays have support for ASUS Extreme Low Motion Blue technology, GamePlus, GameFast Input, Shadow Boost, GameVisual, DisplayWidget Center, and Trace Free technology. Furthermore, both panels come with AMD FreeSync Premium, along with NVIDIA G-Sync compatibility, as both panels have VESA AdaptiveSync Display 180Hz certification. As for connectivity, both monitors feature HDMI 2.0 inputs, one DisplayPort 1.2 input, a headphone jack, a tilt-only stand and 2W speakers.

Lenovo will be bringing out two brand new displays that are designed specifically for the company's range of Tiny-in-one compact PCs, and as appropriately named, these displays are called ThinkCentre Tiny-in-One 22 Gen 5 and ThinkCentre Tiny-in-One 24 Gen 5.

Starting with the smaller model, the ThinkCentre Tiny-in-One 22 Gen 5 is a Full HD display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080, In-Plane Switching (IPS) technology, at a 60Hz refresh rate. Additionally, Lenovo has thrown in a built in webcam, microphone, stereo speakers, a max brightness of 250cd/m², a contrast ratio of 1000:1, and a monitor head with dimension of 72.8x339.1x489.3mm. The display supports height adjustment, is capable of tilting, swiveling, and can be rotated.

As for the ThinkCentre Tiny-in-One 24 Gen 5, the specifications are same except for the panel being slightly bigger. Monitor head dimensions are as follows, 72.8x367.6x539.8mm. So, how are both of these new displays designed for Lenovo's compact mini PCs? Each of these displays enable users to effortlessly attach their Tiny series PC to the back of the display. This connectivity is cable-free through the inclusion of an insertion made on the back of this display.

LG has confirmed two new gaming monitors to be released under its UltraGear branding. Introducing the 32GR93U, and the 27GR93U.

Each of these new gaming displays features a 4K UHD (3840 x 2160) resolution and an IPS-type panel with support for a 144Hz refresh rate. Notably, LG will be releasing a 31.5-inch variant and a 27-inch variant, each will come with Adaptive-Sync, HDMI 2.1 VRR, AMD and NVIDIA FreeSync and G-Sync compatibility, a 1000:1 static contrast ratio with 178 degree viewing angles. The ergonomic adjustments are the same for each monitor as well, with height adjustments up to 110 mm, a clockwise pivot, and -5 to 15 degrees of possible tilt.

As you can probably imagine, LG has outfitted both of the coming displays with powerful connectivity, with the 32GR93U, and the 27GR93U both supporting a 3.5 mm headphone jack, two HDMI 2.1 inputs, DisplayPort 1.4 and two USB type-A ports, along with a USB type-B upstream port. LG has also jam-packed these displays with more features such as Crosshair, Dynamic Action Sync, Black Stabilizer, Color Weakness, HW Calibration, Motion Blur Reduction technology, True Color Pro, OnScreen Control, and OnScreen Display.

Samsung is preparing to roll out its newest edition to its ultra-wide line-up of gaming monitors under its Odyssey branding, and now more details have leaked about what is to come.

If you are an ultra-wide gamer or are looking to make the jump from the traditional 16:9 aspect ratio to 32:9, perhaps it's time to start paying attention to what Samsung is about to release. Introducing, the the highly anticipated Odyssey OLED G9, an enormous 49-inch curved monitor with Quantum-Dot OLED pixel technology at an astounding 5,120 x 1,440 resolution. The specifications don't stop there. The OLED G9 is slated to come with a 240 Hz refresh rate but at a steep price of $2,626 USD.

The leaked pricing and additional details about the OLED G9 come from the Austrian retailer Digitec Galaxus, which wrote on its website that Samsung is expected to launch the OLED G9 between mid-September and the end of September, with the earliest launch date being September 14. It's worth pointing out that if Samsung decides to stick with the price point of $2,600+, it will make the OLED G9 more expensive than the Odyssey Neo G9, which has a price tag of $2,197.

OLED panel technology for PC gaming monitors has been one of the biggest advances in recent years, and MSI is fully embracing the OLED life with a number of new QD-OLED displays on the way. QD-OLED, which adds Quantum Dot technology to deliver a brighter and more colorful image than standard OLED, is quickly becoming the new sought-after OLED display tech.

MSI is expanding its QD-OLED range of gaming displays.

On that front, the MEG 342C QD-OLED Gaming Monitor is definitely drool-worthy, offering an ultrawide 3440 x 1440 resolution display with a fast 175Hz refresh rate and an immersive 1800R curve. Throw in the infinite contrast you get from OLED's self-lit pixels (not to mention the nearly instantaneous response times) for pristine black levels, and it's one of the best gaming monitors you can pick up right now.

But, at Computex 2023, MSI had one more QD-OLED display to showcase, a massive 32:9 49-inch display with a blisteringly fast 240Hz refresh rate. This thing is a monster and was one of the show's highlights for me. MSI had this beast of a display connected to a GeForce RTX 4090 powered rig running a full Microsoft Flight Simulator setup with the Top Gun expansion.
